Oii was created by a team of pre-eminent practitioners and visionaries from the world of Artificial Intelligence and Supply Chain Planning and is led by Bob Rogers PhD, an international leader in the field of Data Science.
With a wide variety of backgrounds and sector-specific experience, the team are united by their passion to revolutionize supply chain planning and transform business performance.

Bob Rogers, PhD, is CEO and Co-Founder of Oii.ai. Previously, he has been Expert in Residence for AI at the University of California, San Francisco, and a member of the Board of Advisors to the Harvard Institute for Applied Computational Science. Bob was also Chief Data Scientist for Analytics and AI at Intel, and was Co-Founder and Chief Scientist at Apixio, a healthcare AI company that was acquired by Centene in 2020.
Bob began his career with a PhD in Physics, developing digital twins of supermassive black holes in other galaxies. In 1993, seeing the future potential impact of AI, he expanded his research to include artificial neural networks, the progenitor of modern AI technology. He co-authored the book, “Artificial Neural Networks: Forecasting Time Series,” which led to a 12-year career as Co-Founder of a quantitative futures trading fund. He received his BA in physics at University of California, Berkeley, and his PhD in physics at Harvard. He has been featured in numerous publications including Forbes, Inc., and InformationWeek.
David Evans is the co-founder and Head of Supply Chain Innovation at Oii where his role is developing and deploying the product, visualising future opportunities to apply the new technology and supporting the design and build of the patented capability.
Prior to Oii David has been active in the field of Supply Chain for over 30 years leading operations, deploying E2E planning systems and envisioning and delivering major transformational change for GSK, MSD and Unilever. He has a passion for using and deploying new technology to deliver improved business outcomes and turning potential into reality.
Vishnu Vyas is co-founder and VP of R&D at Oii.ai where his role is in building the technology platform and the AI that supports the product vision and provides excellent customer experiences.
Prior to Oii, Vishnu was the Sr Director of R&D at Apixio - and co-invented a new market segment with Bob Rogers in the field of AI automated risk adjustment. Prior to Apixio, Vishnu worked at Yahoo! and helped build AI/ML algorithms for their search product.
Firoozeh "Teri" Hart earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the Carlson School of Management of the University of Minnesota and a Juris Doctor degree from the Boston University School of Law.
She was in the private practice of law for many years, then transitioned to in-house counsel, and ultimately, to operations, compliance, licensing and management consulting for health care organizations.
Throughout her career, Randi Mays, MSW, PMP has accumulated over 12 years of experience in the medical field at some of the top-rated University of California health systems.
She has started ACGME fellowship programs, managed a team of data scientists that created the first FDA cleared AI algorithm that was embedded on-device to prioritize critical chest x-ray review, led a team of researchers on multimillion government funded grants, and has provided process improvements to supply chain start-ups and various other companies. PMP Certified, Randi is currently a lead IT Project Manager with Oii.ai. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s degree in SocialWork.Also, a dedicated philanthropist, Randi volunteers with the Crohns Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and is a CASA, Court Appointed Child Advocate. Passionate about her work, Randi credits her success to dedication, drive, and perseverance.
Andy Stones, Head of Systems Development and UX, has over 15 years of experience in complex software engineering, software design, and implementation. With technical skills and proficiency across a wide range of programming languages, databases, and frameworks, Andy’s role is to develop Oii’s core technology – ensuring it meets the needs of both internal stakeholders and end users with user-friendly interfaces that make complex systems intuitive and easy to use.
In addition to his role at Oii, Andy is a Co-Founder and Technical Director of Blumin Limited, a highly regarded brand and digital agency with offices in Macclesfield and Cornwall, UK. Renowned for his ability to solve complex digital challenges, Andy and his team offer technical leadership and consultancy to a wide range of businesses across both public and private sectors; delivering creative projects that harness technology to drive efficiencies and strategic impact.
John Smith is Head of Brand at Oii where he leads the company’s brand development, creative direction and visual identity, including UX and the platform interface. With an extensive skill set covering 3D animation, illustration, graphic design, web design, motion graphics and photography, John has a proven track record of successfully developing and executing brand and marketing campaigns that drive both customer engagement as well as business growth.
John is also Co-Founder and Creative Director of Blumin Limited, an award-winning, multi-disciplinary agency that empowers clients to engage in meaningful conversations with their target markets through various media channels. With a deep understanding of consumer behaviour, market trends, branding techniques, and technologies, John and his team work cross-functionally to create a seamless and consistent brand experience.
_MEET THE Executive BOARD
Lisa Chai brings more than 17 years of experience investing in disruptive technology companies to her role as a partner at ROBO Global. Prior to joining ROBO Global, she was a corporate strategy consultant at Bluemont Partners where she worked with emerging growth technology companies.
Ms. Chai also spent 10 years at Palisade Capital Management and AG Asset Management where she was a sector head of technology investing in the semiconductor, software, and internet industries. She is currently a member of the Empire Angels, a professional angel group investing in early-stage technology ventures with a strong focus in internet, fintech, and enterprise software.
Ramin Najafi is an Iranian-American businessman and the Founder and CEO of Emery Pharma. He is the Founder and former CEO of NovaBay Pharmaceuticals. Najafi was born in Tehran, in 1958. He completed his primary education and received his high school diploma from Alborz High School in Tehran.
Shahin Hedayat has passion for high tech startups aiming to solve complex problems through collective human ingenuity. Shahin is an investor at Candou Ventures which he co-founded in 2015. From 1997 through 2015 Shahin was an entrepreneur starting companies with the intention of creating positive social outcome and economic benefits for all stakeholders.
As an entrepreneur, Shahin co-founded 5 companies and served various roles as President, CEO, Chairman and Board Member. Those companies are Centillium Communication (IPO), Beceem Communication (Acquired by Broadcom), Enverv (Acquired by Semtech), Apixio (in operation) and Polyup (in operation). Centillium, Beceem and Enverv exits generated over $4B of shareholder value. Apixio and Polyup are currently operating and growing.
Prior to 1997, Shahin held technical and managerial roles at Cirrus Logic for 11 years where he became VP of Engineering of communication product line with $90M revenue.
Shahin holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from the University of Michigan (1981,1983) and is named on 9 U.S. patents.
Andy Mowery is a retired Chief Supply Chain Officer, and spent his 34 year career working in the supply chains and practices of Johnson & Johnson, Grant Thornton LLP, and The Clorox Company. He is currently an Adjunct Instructor of Supply Chain & Information Systems at Penn State’s Smeal College of Business.
Elevating the role of Supply Chain in company decision making, and enabling people through technology is at the core of his professional passion.
Anne-Mieke is a director in supply chain and operations management with over 25 years of experience in both the pharmaceutical industry and a 3PL environment. She has an entrepreneurial mindset, is a change leader that quickly sees where organizations and processes need to improve. Realizes these improvements on time in a sustainable way by making the organization adopt and embrace them.
For her the OII-tool addresses the fundamental challenges she has seen numerous times in organizations at its root cause. It gives oversight and allows a holistic and non-fragmented response in the entire chain. She feels privileged to be able to give support to help OII become successful.
Imran Chaudhri joined MarkLogic to focus on bringing enterprise quality AI ready NoSQL solutions for incrementally integrating data silos, making the data agile, and then creating operational and analytics solutions on this agile data. Previously, He co-founded Apixio with the vision of solving the clinical data overload problem.
Apixio solves the patient clinical risk problem via AI/machine learning and natural language processing (NLP). The platform makes extensive use of cloud computing based NOSQL technologies such as Hadoop, Cassandra, and ElasticSearch. Imran also co-founded Anka Systems and focused on the execution of EyeRoute's business development, product definition, engineering, and operations. EyeRoute was the world's first distributed big data ophthalmology image management system. Before Anka Systems, Imran was a co-founder and CTO of FastTide, the worlds first operational performance based meta-content delivery network (CDN) which helped run the Internet 10x faster than usual.
Madeleine Udell joins Oii.ai as a top Algorithmic Advisor. She's a former machine learning advisor to President Barack Obama's reelection campaign. Madeleine became a tenured professor at Cornell University, and is currently a professor at Stanford University. She brings to Oii.ai experience in operational algorithms, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to help the company execute its vision of optimization and automation of supply chain design. Madeleine’s expertise in large-scale data analytics will guide Oii’s strategic evolution of its Optii AI product.

Brian Wieland has been applying analytics to supply chain problems in the semiconductor industry for over 20 years, known as the founder of inventory optimization at Intel until he joined the Solidigm arm of SK Hynix as a business process architect in late 2021.
He is a graduate of The University of Washington, having studied operations management, finance, and information systems before working as an industrial engineer at Boeing and attaining his CPIM certification from APICS, which opened the door to process improvement roles at Intel. He holds an MBA from UC Davis, focusing on technology management and applied statistics. As a competitive ultramarathon runner, he also coaches cross country and track for Ponderosa High School.
Edward Dixon's background is in software development and machine learning. While working at an industrial automation firm, Edward became interested in machine vision and machine learning, an interest later developed at a leading security software company.
A move to Intel led to an interest in Digital Forensics and the application of artificial intelligence to sensitive data more generally. Edward is a co-author of "Demystifying AI for the Enterprise".
Eugene Buckley's commercial experiences are anchored in the intersection between the physical and financial supply chain, where the balance sheet and supply chain merge. Most recently Eugene was co-founder and former board member of Calculum Inc, an Ai payment terms and spend analytics SaaS provider. Eugene was part of the founding team and GM Asia Pacific for PrimeRevenue, the leading provider of Supply Chain Finance solutions globally.
Prior to PrimeRevenue Eugene played a leading role in establishing Intelisys JV with JPMC bank and Qvalent with Westpac bank in the B2B procure to pay arena. He spent time with Dow Jones Telerate in the wholesale capital markets providing data and market trading software solutions. Before entering the financial markets, Eugene established a successful business in Australia providing network security & virus protection services.
